Torna la band di Philip Drucker aka Jackson Del Rey (una delle colonne dei Savage Republic originali) con la seconda parte dell’album “Celestina” di qualche anno fa, concept legato a un racconto fantascientifico accluso come booklet nella confezione che, como sempre, e realizzata con un gran bel gusto artigianale in edizione limitata e firmata. L’ormai naturale propensione alla soundtrack cinematografica (Del Rey e I suoi accoliti ne hanno pubblicate diverse dal loro ritorno, e tutte di ecclesa faturra) si fa sentire anche stavolta in un suono di ben difficile collocazione all’interno del conone non solo – ovviamente – Savage Republic ma anche 17 Pygmies; le tastiere sintetiche dominano su tutto il resto (piano, chitarra, basso, qualche percussione) con un mood sci-fi anni ’50 dai risvolti ora hollywoodiani ora classicheggiante e solo occasionalmente piu cupi e minacciosi (ma sono I momenti migliori).
